March Recap
March was crazy, and not just because the weather in the DC area swung from winter to summer and back with few "spring" feeling days. I wrote another handful of words for a handful of projects, but honestly, didn't even do a great job of tracking word count. I was invited to submit a short story to an upcoming anthology, which is a fun challenge considering I struggle with keeping a story short and sweet. TBD if I get something written and submitted before the September deadline, but I will keep you posted!

Blood and Water
Nothing super exciting to report here this month, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. So much of publishing is a waiting game as everyone takes turns going through the manuscript.

I'll be stepping up my social media marketing for B&W in April, so check me out on Insta/TikTok/Facebook for some sneak peeks into the vibes and aesthetics of my next novel.

Looking ahead...
This month, I'm focused on tightening my sequel draft into something coherent enough to start sharing with critique partners. In my reading world, I discovered the absolutely delightful Leveling Up series, which follows a 40-year-old recent divorcee who essentially inherits a magical house and the powers, gargoyle butler, vampire gardener, and amazing rock-throwing old Irish lady that come with it. There are 13 books in the series so I'm trying to intersperse them with other books from my TBR just to be fair.
